General Questions

Q: Where and when is the event?
A: The Annual 5K will take place on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Check-in will begin at 9:00am. The walk begins at 10:00am. The event will be held at Liberty State Park, Jersey City, NJ. All participants must be pre-registered by April 27th.

Q: Is there a rain date?
A: No. The event will take place rain or shine. But if there is a significant storm that creates a regional emergency, then please use your own good judgment and stay home.

Q: Is there parking near the start of the walk?
A: Yes, there is ample parking at the park.

Q: Can I bring young children? Strollers?
A: Children of all ages and strollers are welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Q: Can we bring pets to the event?
A: Pets on leashes are permitted. Please use good judgment and consider the safety of others when deciding whether or not to bring your pet. Please be considerate and clean up after any pets you bring.

Q: Will there be refreshments and food served?
A: Yes, food and beverages for all participants will be served complimentary following the walk.

Fundraising Questions

Q: Why should I fundraise?
A: Your fundraising assists families that have children suering from cancer, sickle cell disease and other disorders. These donations aid an education program, emergency nancial assistance, parent support groups, social services and counseling, and many other services all available to families at no cost. Collecting donations for the Walk will aid in the funding for programs that improve the families’ experience while their child is undergoing treatment.

Q: How do I turn in my donations?
A: The easiest way to collect donations is to use the online fundraising tool.

Q: Do I get anything for fundraising?
A: Any funds you raise give you the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping families battling illnesses.

Team Questions

Q: Can family members and friends join my team?
A: Yes. Anyone can register to become part of a team. All team members must be registered online by April 27th (FINAL REGISTRATION DEADLINE). We ask that you try to raise $100/individual or $150 per family (husband, wife, kids).

Q: Where do we meet our team members at the start of the walk?
A: Your team should regularly communicate and choose a location within the park to meet on the day of the event.

Q: Can we bring a team banner?
A: Yes. You can bring a decorative team banner to carry as you walk.
