The pressures are relentless on a family when their child has cancer, a blood disorder or other serious illness. Many of the illnesses are chronic/lifelong. There are increased expenses around the child's healthcare. There is less time and resources for the other children and family members. Many of the families are single parent households that were already struggling before a devastating pediatric diagnosis. As an example, Christofer (pictured above) requires dialysis 3 days per week. The family needs monthly support including train tickets for his medical care as the family does not have a car.

• $10 a month will provide the child and parent with lunch during a day of treatment.
   
• $25 a month will provide train tickets to/from our medical campus.
   
• $50 a month will provide babysitting and after-school programs for siblings.
   
• $100 a month will cover part-time classes at community college for a young adult patient.
