I am excited to be participating in the 2026 Heel to Heal on Sunday, September 20, 2026 at Johnson Park, Piscataway, NJ benefiting Embrace Kids Foundation. Embrace Kids supports children with cancer, blood disorders and other serious health challenges.
On December 4, 2017, our world changed completely when we learned that our child had cancer. For the next two years, our daughter Giuliana battled Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, enduring eight months of intense treatment and numerous hospital stays.
The Embrace Kids Foundation provided incredible emotional support for our family during this difficult time. They not only cared for Giuliana but also consistently supported her sisters. Volunteers spent hours playing games, doing crafts, and helping with homework, which made the intense treatment experience much less scary.
Giuliana is now 14 years old and six years cancer-free. To this day, she speaks fondly of the volunteers who made such an impact on her life. Embrace Kids will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Embrace Kids Foundation was founded in 1991 and is located in New Brunswick, NJ. The Foundation assists families whose children have cancer, sickle cell and other blood disorders in the NJ/NYC metropolitan area. All programs and services are free to families and include emergency financial assistance, individualized tutoring, counseling, and inspirational events and holiday parties.
